Boof’s Story
Boof’s world fell apart the day the people he trusted walked away. In pain, frightened and unable to stand properly on his severely injured leg, he was left alone at a veterinary clinic — abandoned at the moment he needed love the most. When we learned about Boof’s situation, everything changed. We saw a dog who hadn’t given up, even when those around him had. Pawkala stepped in with one promise — Boof would not be forgotten.
A Gentle Start
His injury had worsened and amputation was the only way to save his life. We took full responsibility for his surgery, recovery and professional rehabilitation. Today, Boof is safe, healing and learning to enjoy life again. He is currently in rehab with a qualified vet nurse and is adapting beautifully to life on three legs — proving every day that resilience comes in many forms.
At Pawkala, we exist to step in for dogs like Boof — especially those abandoned, overlooked or at risk of being lost forever. We believe no dog should be defined as a “stray” or denied a chance at life.

Despite everything he has been through, his sweet, happy, and affectionate nature has never faded. Now, he gets to enjoy the comfort, stability, and warmth of a family to call his own. This is the start of Boof’s forever journey — a life filled with love, safety, and happiness.
